LANGFORD IC SYSTEMS
Cleaning and sterilizing reusable surgical devices, such as colonoscopes, can be difficult. Improperly cleaned instruments may contain contaminants that can cause HAI (Hospital Acquired Infections). To successfully clean instruments to FDA requirements, the device must pass through three stages: cleaning of particles, disinfecting, and sterile rinsing (that must not reinfect the device).
Origin’s development team was responsible for the design and engineering of the overall enclosure including organization of user activities such as control and display information, chemical refill loading, and documentation printer access, and integrating these functions into the system frame and enclosure panels. In addition, our designers analyzed endoscope loading activities for a variety of scope manufactures and styles, and created a modular docking system that optimized ease of loading while maintaining fluid access for cleaning.
